Ukrainian sugar producers set a historical record for sugar exports in 2024, sending 746.3 thousand tons of this product to foreign markets, valued at $419 million UAH, as reported by the National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine ("Ukrtsukor"). The association also announced the TOP-5 sugar producers for the 2024 season, the press service stated on Facebook.
According to the report, "Radekhiv Sugar" topped the ranking with a 31% share of national production, followed by the agricultural holding "Astarta" with a 21% market share, and "Ukrprominvest-Agro" in third place with 14%. The fourth and fifth positions were held by "Teofipol Sugar Plant" and "Aspik Group," each with an equal production share of 6%.
As previously reported, during the 2024 season, which concluded on January 21, 2025, there were 29 sugar plants operating in Ukraine. They collectively produced 1.8 million tons of sugar.
