Public Joint Stock Company "Ukrnafta" has drilled a new exploratory well in eastern Ukraine with a daily output of 66 tons of oil equivalent, reported the company's director, Sergey Koretsky, on Facebook.

According to him, the depth of the well is 3017 meters, with recoverable reserves estimated at 244 million cubic meters of gas and 35,000 tons of condensate.

The work was carried out using the company’s own drilling rig.

As previously reported, "Ukrnafta" plans to drill around 30 new wells in 2025, the majority of which will be done with the help of third-party contractors.

"Ukrnafta" is the largest oil production company in Ukraine and operates the national network of gas stations. In March 2024, the company took control of the assets of Glusco and currently operates 547 gas stations – 462 owned and 85 under management.

The company is implementing a comprehensive program to resume operations and update the format of its gas station network. Since February 2023, it has been issuing its own fuel vouchers and "NAFTAКарта" cards, which are sold to legal entities and individuals through LLC "Ukrnafta-Postach".

"Ukrnafta" holds 92 special permits for the industrial development of fields. Its balance sheet includes 1832 oil and 154 gas production wells.

The largest shareholder of "Ukrnafta" is the National Joint Stock Company "Naftogaz of Ukraine," owning over 50%+1 share. In November 2022, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine decided to transfer the state ownership of the corporate rights of the company that belonged to private owners, which is now managed by the Ministry of Defense.
