"DTEK" has restored electricity to 101,000 homes in the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kyiv regions over the past week.

"Despite all the security challenges from January 20 to 26, the power engineers of the distribution system operator (DTEK Networks) managed to fully or partially restore electricity in 63 settlements and bring light back to the homes of 101,000 families in the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kyiv regions," - the energy holding's press release stated on Monday.

The highest number of electricity restorations last week occurred in the Donetsk region, which remains the area of the most active hostilities. Despite the extremely difficult situation, specialists from "DTEK Networks" continue to restore power lines as soon as it becomes possible and the military grants permission for the work. Over the past week, electricity was restored to nearly 58,000 local residents in the region.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, from January 20 to 26, power engineers restored electricity to 38,400 local residents. The Kyiv region continues to suffer from enemy attacks – last week, energy workers restored electricity for 4,600 families whose homes had been de-energized due to enemy strikes.

"Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have restored electricity to more than 16.9 million families in the Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Donetsk regions, as well as in the city of Kyiv. In some settlements close to the combat zones, we have restored power dozens of times already," noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO of "DTEK Networks."

"DTEK Networks" is developing its business in electricity distribution and power grid operation in Kyiv, and the Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Odesa regions. The company's distribution system operators serve 5.5 million households and 158,000 enterprises.
