The newly elected American president, Donald Trump, has chosen Susan Wiles as the head of the White House staff, who served as his advisor during his first term.
This was stated in Trump's announcement, which was published by vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance.
According to Vance, Wiles "was a tremendous asset to President Trump during the campaign and will be a great help in the White House."
"Suzy is strong, smart, and has innovative vision; she is admired and respected. I have no doubt that the country will take pride in her," the statement reads.
He emphasized that "it is a well-deserved honor" for Wiles to become "the first woman to lead the administration in the history of the United States."
The person in this position manages White House personnel, oversees the access of certain individuals to the Oval Office and the flow of information, and negotiates on behalf of the president with Congress, executive branch officials, and non-governmental political groups.
Recently, it was reported that Trump does not want to see former generals in his national security team and prefers businesspeople and company leaders, considering the possibility of appointing loyal individuals to leadership positions in Washington.
According to Axios sources, the main candidate for Trump's Secretary of State position is former U.S. ambassador to Germany, Richard Grenell.
