In 2024, DTEK upgraded over 14,000 km of power lines and more than 6,000 energy facilities.

In 2024, the distribution system operators (DSOs) of "DTEK Networks" repaired and reconstructed 14,100 kilometers of power lines and over 6,000 energy facilities, marking an 80% increase compared to 2023.
В 2024 году ДТЭК модернизировал свыше 14 тыс. км линий и более 6 тыс. энергетических объектов.

In 2024, the distribution system operators (DSOs) of "DTEK Networks" repaired and reconstructed 14.1 thousand km of power lines and over 6 thousand energy facilities, which is 80% more than in 2023.

"Thanks to this, we were able to enhance the reliability of the energy infrastructure in the Odessa, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk regions, as well as the capital, during a period of constant enemy attacks and challenges of the heating season," the energy holding's press release stated on Tuesday.

As explained by "DTEK," energy facilities and power lines require constant maintenance, especially since the networks wear out due to overloads that occur during scheduled outages.

In particular, to prevent possible accidents and create an additional resource for electricity consumption, the energy workers of DSO "DTEK Networks" repaired 13.8 thousand km of power lines of various voltage classes and 5.8 thousand high-voltage substations, distribution, and transformer points. Additionally, almost 10 thousand km of routes under power lines were cleared of shrubs to prevent wire breakage during bad weather.

Furthermore, last year, as part of the investment program, DSO "DTEK Networks" updated over 350 km of power lines and reinforced more than 350 substations, transformer, and distribution points. This has improved the quality and reliability of electricity supply for over 450 thousand families in the Odessa, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk regions, and Kyiv.

Moreover, energy workers installed over 213 thousand smart electricity meters in customers' homes. These devices automatically transmit readings and allow for a 50% savings on electricity consumption at night by accounting for electricity separately during daytime and nighttime hours. The meters are installed in areas that are part of the automation program.

In the Donetsk region, energy workers are operating under extremely challenging combat conditions. Almost all work in the region involves restoring networks damaged as a result of enemy attacks. With military permission, specialists from "DTEK Donetsk Electric Networks" perform repairs on energy equipment wherever possible to ensure local residents have access to electricity.

"Even in military conditions, DSO 'DTEK Networks' continues to modernize, reconstruct old, and build new energy facilities. All efforts are aimed at making electricity supply as reliable as possible. In 2024, DSO 'DTEK Networks' invested over 4.5 billion UAH as part of their repair and investment programs," noted Alina Bondarenko, General Director of "DTEK Networks."

"DTEK Networks" develops its business in electricity distribution and the operation of power grids in Kyiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Odessa regions. The company's DSOs serve 5.5 million households and 158 thousand enterprises.
