Over half of Germans support urgent early elections.

More than half of Germans expressed that they do not regret the coalition's breakup and support the swift holding of early elections, following the news of the coalition's dissolution.

More than half of Germans expressed no regret over the coalition's collapse and support the swift holding of early elections following the news of the coalition breakdown.

According to Spiegel, as reported by "European Truth", this is evidenced by survey data collected after the coalition's collapse on the evening of November 6.

In the Infratest-Dimap survey for ARD Deutschlandtrend, 65% of respondents stated they favor quick early elections to the Bundestag.

Only 33% believe it would be better to hold them in March, as Chancellor Olaf Scholz anticipates.

59% of respondents reacted positively to the dissolution of the "traffic light coalition" after prolonged disputes among the participating parties. 40% blame the "Free Democrats" as the main culprits for the collapse, 26% point to the "Greens", and only 19% attribute it to the Social Democrats.

This same survey indicated that if elections were held immediately, the largest opposition party, the Christian Democratic Union, could expect 34% of the votes, the far-right populists "AfD" 18%, Scholz's Social Democrats 16%, the "Greens" 12%, and the alliance of "Putin's friends" led by Sahra Wagenknecht 6%. This time, the "Free Democrats" would not surpass the 5% threshold.

Another survey conducted by Wahlen for ZDF revealed that 30% of Germans support holding early elections in March, while 54% advocate for them to occur sooner.

According to media reports from sources within the Bundestag, Germany will be able to provide a large portion of the 4 billion euros promised to Ukraine, even if the budget for 2025 is not approved in time due to the collapse of the coalition government.
