The wife of Ukrainian host Grigory Reshetnik, Kristina Reshetnik, shared a situation where she and her three children were denied entry into Poland, being turned back right at the border.
The reason for this was new regulations that came into effect on January 1, 2025, concerning the issuance of the "green card."
Kristina had planned to travel to Poland in her car and had obtained a "green card," as she had always done before. However, since the beginning of the year, the process has changed: now the card needs to be arranged in advance, rather than on the day of departure, as she had previously done.
She overlooked this rule and, without waiting for the next day, headed to the Polish border. On the Ukrainian side, she was allowed to pass without any issues, but Polish border guards, after checking her documents, informed her that she could not enter because the card was not yet valid.
She was forced to return to the Ukrainian border, where she had to wait two hours until the "green card" became effective. After that, shortly after midnight, she attempted to cross the border again, and this time she was allowed through.
Kristina warned her followers that the "green card" must now be arranged in advance, at least one day before the planned departure.
As a result, she was able to cross the border again after midnight, when the card became valid.
"That's exactly what I did. I believe that rules are rules, and they are absolutely correct. I want to warn everyone planning to travel to arrange their 'green card' at least one day before departure," Kristina emphasized, alerting her followers about the new requirements.
