In Grand Theft Auto VI, you can play "from start to finish" right now, but there's a catch.

A former animator for GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 has announced that GTA 6 is currently undergoing testing.
В Grand Theft Auto VI можно пройти игру "от начала до конца" уже сейчас, но с одним важным условием.

One of the former animators from Rockstar Games, who worked on GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, believes that Grand Theft Auto 6 is "likely" playable from start to finish. And a group of people is currently playing it. This was reported by Games Radar.

The studio is primarily focused on fixing any annoying bugs and glitches that may arise.

This information was shared by former Rockstar Games developer Mike York during an interview with Kiwi Talkz, discussing the state of the new blockbuster set to release in 2025.

Given Rockstar Games' history of high-profile delays, there has been much speculation about when GTA 6 will be released, but York believes the team is close to the finish line.

"They are probably still doing a few new things here and there or adding something here and there, of course, but I would assume that the game is likely already playable, and a bunch of people are testing it from start to finish," he suggested, noting that there are surely plenty of bugs, which is common for open-world games.

So right now, testers are working hard to find as many bugs as possible before the release, because a game like GTA "is unlike any other game."

York even mentioned that during his work on GTA 5, the team "would spend a whole day in the game, every day, about 8-10 hours a day."

York also explained how creating a massive, densely populated game like GTA 6 differs from something like The Witcher 3. In his opinion, players can do things in the game that developers may not even anticipate or foresee during production.

What is known about Grand Theft Auto VI

Currently, there is one trailer available. However, due to leaks described as a "nightmare for Rockstar Games," it has been revealed that the next game in the Grand Theft Auto series has the codename Project Americas, and it will take place in the fictional American city of Vice City (inspired by Miami) in the fictional state of Leonida, which is based on Florida.

For the first time in the series, there is expected to be the option to play as a female character, with the main protagonists named Lucia and Jason. It is believed that this game will tell the story of a pair of robbers in the style of Bonnie and Clyde.
