Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov confirmed that during the "Ramstein" format meeting on January 9, plans for supporting Ukraine over the next two years in eight areas, agreed upon with Kyiv, are expected to be approved.

He shared this information on his Facebook, as reported by "European Truth".

Umerov mentioned that prior to the main meeting, he held a bilateral discussion with U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, where they talked about the preparations for the meeting and key cooperation areas.

"Today, coalition leaders (of capabilities – Ed.) are finalizing the 'roadmaps' for each of the eight cooperation areas, which will outline strategic goals and essential military assistance needs at least until the end of 2027.

These documents, developed and agreed upon jointly by Ukraine and its partners, will form the basis for support and allocation of assistance in areas such as air defense, artillery, armored vehicles, drones, air forces, maritime security, and other critical sectors," the Defense Minister elaborated.

On Wednesday, the Pentagon revealed that Lloyd Austin plans to meet with the leaders of the "coalitions of capabilities" to define support plans for Ukraine through 2027.

On the same day, according to media reports, Washington is set to announce the allocation of $500 million worth of weapons and ammunition to Kyiv.
