Ukrposhta JSC, as part of a joint project with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), has announced a re-tender for the procurement of 100 trucks along with Full Service support for its logistics development project, which is planned for implementation in 2025-2026.
According to the announcement on the EBRD procurement portal, proposals are accepted until December 20, 2024.
"Updating the fleet with modern trucks will reduce delivery times. Having reliable transportation will facilitate the seamless delivery of mail, parcels, and other goods to the people of Ukraine and our partners. This is another step in the transformation of Ukrposhta to provide modern services," - it is noted in the message on the ProZorro portal.
The project is financed through credit funds/grants provided by the EBRD.
The announcement mentions that an online meeting for interested suppliers is scheduled for mid-December 2024, where they will have the opportunity to ask questions regarding the tender documentation.
As reported, the initial tender for the logistics development project of Ukrposhta, set for implementation in 2024-2025, was announced in December 2023, with a proposal submission deadline of January 29, 2024.
Ukrposhta is also accepting bids until December 8 for a tender to procure 880 electric courier scooters funded by credit and grant resources from the EBRD, and in early October announced the procurement of 1,745 electric postal tricycles.
As of June 30 of this year, the company had approximately 28,840 points of presence in Ukraine and 33,640 employees.
The company’s revenue for the first half of 2024 increased by 10.6% compared to the same period last year, reaching 6 billion 170.2 million UAH, while the net loss decreased by 34.5% to 428.1 million UAH.
