The Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has indicated that he is considering a lawsuit against CBS due to the release of a shortened version of an interview with his opponent, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.
This was reported by The Hill, as noted by "European Truth".
Trump and his allies criticized CBS for airing the edited version of the interview with Kamala Harris on "60 Minutes," insisting that it was altered "to make her look better".
"I think I will sue them.... You know, they won't be able to defend such a decision, and even if they try and win, they will look very awkward," Trump stated.
"It was so bad that they should lose their license and take the show off the air," the former president added.
The shortened version cut part of Harris's response regarding the Israel-Hamas conflict; however, the network later published the complete transcript of her answers as they were aired.
CBS reported that they had offered Trump an interview on the same program, which he initially accepted but then withdrew his consent.
According to a poll aggregator compiled by The Hill/Decision Desk HQ, Trump is leading Harris nationally by 2.2 percentage points, with a growing trend in his support in key states.
Last week, during a campaign rally in Detroit, Trump was without a working microphone for 20 minutes, after which he stated he would not pay the equipment rental company.
Additionally, Trump repeated his false claim that migrants from Haiti in Ohio are allegedly eating their neighbors' pets.
Moreover, Donald Trump once again made a series of strange statements about the war between Russia and Ukraine, claiming that "almost all cities in Ukraine have been reduced to rubble" and placing the blame for the invasion on Volodymyr Zelensky and Joe Biden.
