Weather forecaster Natalia Didenko announced the date when cold weather will arrive in Ukraine.
According to forecasts, the weather in most regions of the country will remain warm, but changes are on the horizon.
In her Facebook post, the meteorologist noted that on January 9, warm weather is expected in Ukraine. The air temperature on that day will fluctuate between 4 to 9 degrees Celsius. In the western and southern regions, the thermometers will rise to 8-14 degrees, while in the northern part of the country it will be slightly cooler, ranging from 3 to 6 degrees.
The wind is expected to be moderate, coming from the south, but it may be strong in the west. According to the forecaster, most of Ukraine will be under the influence of an anticyclone, so significant precipitation is unlikely. However, light rain is expected in the west.
In Kyiv, no precipitation is forecasted for January 9, with the air temperature hovering around +3…+5 degrees. However, on January 10, temperatures in the capital will rise to 7 degrees.
However, as Didenko warns, a cold snap is expected in Ukraine on January 11-12.
"Although it will be colder, the warm winter in Ukraine continues," the forecaster summarized.
Politeka also wrote that anomalously warm weather has returned to Ukraine; despite the recent cold snap, a temperature rise is expected across the country on January 8, reaching 9-14 degrees Celsius.
