North Korea could send up to 100,000 of its military personnel to war in Ukraine.
This was stated by military analyst Alexey Hetman, a former major of the National Guard of Ukraine, in a comment on a YouTube channel. He added that this would pose a serious threat to Ukrainian forces fighting against Russian aggression.
Hetman emphasizes that North Korea has an army of over a million soldiers. This suggests that even 10, 20, or 30 thousand North Korean troops could be dispatched to Ukraine.
"They disregard any laws or rules, so their involvement in the conflict is not unusual," the analyst explains.
It is important to note that Pyongyang understands that South Korea does not intend to attack them. This allows North Korea to focus on external conflicts without fearing pressure from its neighbors. According to Hetman, the potential involvement of North Korean troops in the conflict with Ukraine would be a significant problem for Ukrainian forces, especially if these troops are organized into separate units.
Alexey Hetman also points out that North Korean military personnel could be deployed in the rear, which would free up Russian occupiers to participate in combat operations on the front line.
By the way, a few days ago, South Korean Defense Minister Kim Yong-hen confirmed that North Korea might send its troops to Ukraine. There is also information that a contingent of North Korean troops is already present in the occupied territories of Ukraine.
