The Berlin police advise residents to allocate more time for travel and to "relax" due to traffic restrictions during the visit of U.S. President Joe Biden.
This is stated in a post by law enforcement on X (Twitter), as reported by "European Truth".
In light of Biden's visit to Berlin and the related traffic restrictions, the police recommend that people set aside extra time for their journeys.
The visit will significantly impact both car traffic and public transportation, the police informed.
"Plan for a little more time for all your trips today and relax," the authorities added.
As noted by the publication Spiegel, extensive security measures are causing road closures and the cancellation of high-speed and regional train services.
Long-distance rail services have also been affected, with heightened security measures particularly around Potsdamer Platz, where Biden is staying at the Ritz-Carlton hotel.
As is known, late on Thursday, October 17, Biden arrived in Berlin for a brief visit.
He is expected to hold bilateral talks with the President and Chancellor of Germany on Friday, October 18, followed by a meeting with leaders of Germany, France, and the United Kingdom.
