An Austrian volunteer has died in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.

This information was confirmed to the Austrian publication Östrerreich by the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as reported by "European Truth".

It is noted that the death of the Austrian volunteer was reported by a Ukrainian, M., on Instagram, and later this information was verified by journalists at the Austrian foreign ministry.

"He loved his homeland and his family, but since the beginning of the great war, he stood to support my family (that is, Ukraine. – Ed.)", wrote a friend under a photo of the fallen warrior.

According to the publication, the Austrian volunteer presumably died during a drone attack.

In November, a Georgian fighter who was injured in Bakhmut died while receiving treatment in France.

There were also reports of the death of Georgian fighter Badri Kvaratskhelia during combat operations in the Kursk region.

On January 10, it was reported that during combat operations in Ukraine, Latvian volunteer Edgar Platonov was killed.

On January 13, it became known that a Georgian fighter – Kaha Tilikadze – lost his life in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
