The French government has once again launched a campaign urging citizens to use energy resources wisely as the cold season approaches.
As reported by "European Truth," this information comes from AFP.
Although Europe is not facing an energy resource shortage this year as it did in 2022, the French government has decided to reiterate its call for citizens to conserve resources and make it a habit.
The campaign aims to "remind everyone that every action counts and to continue the path of reducing our energy resource consumption," noted Energy Minister Olga Zhyverne.
"For two years, we have been able to maintain a reduction in energy resource consumption – gas and electricity – by 12% compared to 2019," she added.
The campaign is presented as a series of short videos showcasing simple ways to reduce consumption, which will be aired on television and radio.
Following the initial calls from authorities to save energy in the autumn of 2022, the French significantly reduced their consumption, and the same occurred in Denmark.
In 2023, the Czech Republic consumed less gas than in the last 30 years, with the greatest reduction attributed to household savings.
