From November 18 to 24, the energy workers of the distribution system operator (DSO) "DTEK Networks" managed to fully or partially restore electricity supply to 109 settlements, bringing light back to the homes of more than 357,000 families in the Odessa, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk regions.
"Last week, our energy workers continued to address the aftermath of enemy shelling, with the most significant efforts in Odessa, which faced another wave of attacks. From November 18 to 24, our specialists were able to restore power for 321,400 families here," the company's press release stated on Monday.
According to "DTEK Networks," the Dnipropetrovsk region has been almost continuously subjected to enemy bombardments, which regularly damage power lines and leave residents without electricity. Last week, energy workers managed to restore electricity supply to 20,100 homes of local residents.
Meanwhile, the Donetsk region remains an area of intense combat activity. Despite the ongoing danger, the energy company's specialists continue to restore power lines as soon as it is feasible and military approval is granted for repairs. Over the week, electricity supply was restored in the homes of 15,900 families in Donetsk.
"Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have restored electricity to 16.1 million families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odessa, Donbas, and the city of Kyiv. In some settlements close to combat zones, we have restored power dozens of times," noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO of "DTEK Networks."
The energy workers of "DTEK Networks" begin their work as soon as they receive permission and access to the damage site from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service.
"DTEK Networks" is expanding its business in electricity distribution and power grid operation in Kyiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Odessa regions. The company's DSO services 5.5 million households and 158,000 enterprises.
