Participant of the thirteenth season of the culinary project "Master Chef", Artem Gorbenko, demonstrated how to make a quick pizza using leftovers from the fridge.
Ingredients for the dough:
- yeast - 10 g fresh or 3 g dry
- water - 200 ml
- flour - 300 g
- salt - 6 g
- vegetable oil - 10 g
For the topping, the "Master Chef" contestant used:
- sauce (a can of peeled tomatoes + 3 cloves of garlic + fresh basil + oregano, salt and sugar to taste)
- 150-200 g mozzarella
- 100-150 g ham or leftover sausage
- fresh basil – for decoration
First, "Master Chef" Artem Gorbenko combines the yeast with water. Then, flour is added, and the dough is kneaded until smooth. The dough is covered with plastic wrap or a towel and left in a warm place for 15-20 minutes.
After that, salt and vegetable oil are added to the dough, and it is kneaded well again. The dough is shaped by hand into the desired form – round or rectangular. The "Master Chef" contestant made a round base and chose to cut out a circle in the middle with a glass, but this is optional. The pizza base is placed on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper that has been greased with vegetable oil.
To prepare the pizza sauce, "Master Chef" Artem Gorbenko blends the peeled tomatoes with garlic, basil, and spices using a blender. A thin layer of sauce is spread over the dough, followed by the toppings.
The pizza is baked in a preheated oven at 250 degrees until golden brown (about 8-10 minutes).
