In the state budget for 2025, the Verkhovna Rada has allocated over 6 billion UAH for the support of the agricultural sector, reported Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Vitaliy Koval on Telegram.
The Minister noted that 1 billion UAH is earmarked for the development of livestock and the agro-processing industry.
"These funds will come into the state budget through the 'Land Bank' project from auctions for the lease of state agricultural lands. The 'whitening' of the land market has become a turning point for supporting the agricultural sector," he emphasized.
Additionally, 4,726 million UAH in the 2025 state budget is allocated for per-hectare subsidies to agricultural producers and for the maintenance of cows, sheep, and goats. 200 million UAH is planned for the restoration and construction of irrigation systems. Another 5 million UAH is designated for compensating the single social contribution (SSC) to family farms, along with 80 million UAH for providing preferential interest-free loans to farming households. A total of 1.37 billion UAH is set aside for grants to establish orchards and build greenhouses. Furthermore, 1 billion UAH is allocated for the demining of agricultural lands.
"Overall, the 2025 state budget is aimed at ensuring a comprehensive approach to supporting priority sectors, developing critically important industries, and restoring the economy amid warfare," the Minister of Agrarian Policy concluded.
