Energy workers from the distribution system operator (DSO) "DTEK Networks" were able to fully or partially restore electricity supply to 91 settlements and bring light back to the homes of 252.5 thousand families in the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Kyiv regions from January 13 to 19.
"The majority of restorations occurred in the Donetsk region, where heavy fighting continues... Last week, specialists managed to restore electricity for nearly 240 thousand local residents," the energy holding's press release stated on Monday.
The most restorations were carried out over the weekend when nearly the entire northern part of the region lost power due to another enemy shelling, affecting more than 200 thousand homes.
Meanwhile, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, energy workers restored electricity to almost 11 thousand homes from January 13 to 19. Due to the advancing front, the enemy is increasingly shelling the area, regularly damaging power lines and leaving residents in the dark.
"Kyiv region continues to suffer from enemy attacks. Last week, energy workers restored electricity for 800 families whose homes were left without power due to enemy strikes," noted "DTEK Energy."
The enemy also continues to target the Odesa region, where specialists restored power to 764 homes of local residents over the week.
"Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have restored electricity for more than 16.8 million families in the Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Donetsk regions, as well as in the city of Kyiv. In some settlements close to the combat zone, we have restored power dozens of times already," said Alina Bondarenko, General Director of "DTEK Networks."
"DTEK Networks" is developing its business in electricity distribution and power grid operation in Kyiv, as well as in the Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Odesa regions. The company's DSO services 5.5 million households and 158 thousand enterprises.
