2025 began with an increase in prices for essential food products, and this upward trend is likely to continue throughout the year.

Chicken egg prices are expected to rise significantly, with the overall cost of the product potentially increasing by 10-20% depending on demographic and economic factors such as logistics and consumer purchasing power, notes "RBK-Ukraine".
According to forecasts, prices for key products like potatoes, cabbage, carrots, and onions may change as follows:
Eggs: the average price will rise from 60 to 68-76 hryvnias per dozen;
Potatoes: the cost will increase from 35 to 40-45 hryvnias per kilogram;
Cabbage: the price may vary from 40 to 40-45 hryvnias per kilogram;
Carrots: the price may rise from 32 hryvnias per kilogram to 36–40.5 hryvnias;
Onions: the price of onions will increase from 16 to 18-21 hryvnias per kilogram;
Bread: the price may range from 22-25 to 28-32 hryvnias per loaf.
Politeka also wrote that in 2025, prices for several types of products in Ukraine will rise—an increase in supermarket and store product prices is expected as early as spring.
A member of parliament noted that an increase in the prices of several products is anticipated in Ukraine, particularly: chocolate (up to 80-85 hryvnias per bar); vegetables, especially potatoes; fruits; bread; and pasta.
