In one of the branches of the state bank " Oschadbank ", a couple of internally displaced persons from the Donetsk region were denied the issuance of a "National Cashback" card.
One of the bank's clients shared this information in reviews on the Minfin portal.
Bank employees stated that this service is not available for internally displaced persons (IDPs).
What happened
According to the woman, her husband does not use a smartphone, so the couple decided to visit the "Oschadbank" branch to open a "National Cashback" card.
“The administrator explained that as displaced persons, we cannot obtain such a card. She stated that the card is intended for utility payments, and if we want to receive it, we need to return home. We are originally from the Donetsk region,” the woman shared.
After not receiving the required services at the branch, the client contacted the bank's hotline. They informed her that the employees had made a mistake by refusing service.
“We were told that we could open a virtual account at any bank branch. What I feel right now, I don’t even want to describe.”
As of the time of writing this article, Oschadbank had not publicly responded to the complaint left by the woman on the Minfin portal.
