The government is considering the sale of its stake in "Ukrnafta."

This was stated by First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko in an interview with Forbes Ukraine.

The publication reports that, according to Svyrydenko, this year Ukraine brought specific projects to the economic forum in Davos.

"We are ready to privatize Sense Bank, as well as consider the possibility of selling a stake in 'Ukrnafta', which is in dire need of modernization," the official noted.

Regarding 'Ukrnafta', discussions have only just begun, she clarified.

"Where the private sector can effectively restore and modernize loss-making companies, the market should operate," Svyrydenko emphasized.
