The command of the Russian occupation forces is focusing all its efforts south of Pokrovsk and plans to accomplish two main objectives.
This was reported in his Telegram channel by Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (retired), military analyst, and coordinator of the "Information Resistance" group, Konstantin Mashovets.
Firstly, according to the expert, the enemy is trying to penetrate as deeply as possible to the west and southwest of Pokrovsk. It is reported that just southwest of Pokrovsk, in the direction of the enemy's main strike, there is an enemy grouping consisting of three motorized infantry brigades, one tank regiment, one motorized infantry regiment, and one infantry regiment, located on a rather narrow section of the front between Solenoe and Shevchenko (upper).
"Agree that the concentration of enemy forces and means, for such a relatively small area, is quite peculiar," noted Konstantin Mashovets.
The military expert also mentioned that enemy units are attempting to exert frontal pressure on the defense system of Pokrovsk from the south, attacking from the Green-Dachenko line towards the village of Chinushino. The enemy is currently engaged in fierce battles with the aim of capturing the villages of Kotlino, Udachne, Zverovoe, and Uspenivka.
Additionally, the occupiers are trying to break through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the village of Nikolaevka towards the southern outskirts of Myrnohrad and towards the village of Promin, likely attempting to tie down the reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this direction.
