In the capital's shopping center, a woman decided to test the response time of the ambulance service by faking a sudden health crisis.
This incident was reported by the patrol police of Kyiv.
According to law enforcement, the woman called the emergency hotline 112, stating that she felt unwell in one of the shopping malls in the Solomianskyi district. A medical team promptly arrived at the scene, but instead of finding a patient in need of assistance, they encountered a woman who explained that the call was a mistake. She admitted to staging the situation to see how quickly the ambulance would arrive.
Realizing their time had been wasted, the medics called the police. The patrol officers issued a report against the woman under Article 183 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses (knowingly false call to emergency services). As a result of her actions, the Kyiv resident is now required to pay a fine of 3,400 hryvnias.
The patrol police emphasized that such actions are a serious violation.
"Police officers, rescuers, and medics respond to every report as a real threat. While they spend time on false calls, someone else may be left without necessary assistance," the statement highlighted.
Additionally, Politeka reported that in the Odesa region, a store visitor assaulted a security guard because he did not want to stand in line.
