As part of a large-scale reform, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine has announced the establishment of new medical commissions that will replace the traditional medical and social expert commissions (MSEC).

According to the Ministry of Health, the reform aims to enhance transparency in processes and significantly improve the quality of medical case assessments. To achieve this, the approach to organizing work has been modified: the number of specialists has increased fourfold. More than 1,500 expert teams have been engaged, comprising 5,600 doctors.

The distribution of cases among institutions is tailored to regional characteristics, for example:

In Chernihiv, documents from the city MSEC have been transferred to the Chernihiv Medical Center for Modern Oncology, as well as city hospitals No. 3 and No. 4.

In Odessa, cases from six MSECs are now being processed at the Odessa Regional Clinical Hospital.
